Can pictures of the labels or bottles be added into the databases?
Yes, easily. You can either take a digital photo of the label or if
it is only for personal use, many wineries don't mind if customers copy and paste the label directly from the winery's website.
Microsoft Access©
allows for pictures in its databases. It can let you print out a tasting sheet with the label to share with friends
very easily.

Are the templates compatible with both the 2003 and 2007 versions
of the software?
Yes, the templates were designed in the 2003 versions so that users aren't
required to upgrade. Those with 2007 can simply open the templates in the 2007 versions and save as a new template.
Why do you deliver your templates via email?
Because I don't want to accumulate any private information
about purchasers. The only thing I need is an email address to know whether someone asking for support actually bought
the software. My privacy policy is that I simply don't collect information and therefore am not tempted to sell it for
additional income. And, I don't send spam.

Why don't you make wine suggestions
on the site?
Because there are lots of people out there who are good at assessing
wines. Me, I simply enjoy great wine at a good value and the laughter that accompanies the experience.
Why don't you have advertising on your site?
Because, I'm not comfortable with the compromises.
How come you don't provide an online database?
For a lot of reasons - one of which was stated above. Another
is that at what point will the online providers want to cash in and start charging for access ...(or will the advertisers
want to control more than what is announced?)
Allowing someone else to control your information and your access to it has some
serious risks attached whether or not you want to believe it. There is no such thing as a "free" lunch. It's
the 21st century, everyone should learn how databases work just like they learned spreadsheets two decades ago and the internet
one decade ago. This is a really easy way to become familiar with how databases work especially if you already have
Microsoft Access© on your computer. If you have it, don't
waste it, use it.

Why are the templates only in Microsoft?
Because it was the easiest to use for everyday non- technical
people. And, Bill Gates is giving away the majority of his fortune
to healthcare and education. (which automatically makes for a better and safer place to enjoy my wine.)
If the situation changes, then so will we.

Why did you use purple?
Because some of my favorite grapes are purple not red.
